Hey Reader,

If you’re visiting with kids, it’s worth having a few “calm corners” in your back pocket.

Here are 3 of my favourites:

  1. Dr Neil’s Garden Tucked near Duddingston Loch, this hidden garden is peaceful and perfect after a climb up Arthur’s Seat. Bonus: there’s tea and cake at The Sheep Heid Inn next door.
  2. Circus Lane In the Stockbridge neighbourhood. Quiet cobblestone street with ivy-covered cottages. Go early morning for the best photos.
  3. Water of Leith Walkway Flat, pram-friendly paths following the river. It’s shaded, quiet, and filled with local wildlife. You can walk from Dean Village to Leith and stop for coffee along the way.

Cheers,

Fiona

P.S. These spots are also built into my pre-made itineraries inside Edinburgh Made Easy — just in case you want it all planned out.
