So many castles, hills, museums, buses… and somehow, *none* of it feeling family-friendly. That’s why I always recommend starting with something simple, fun, and relaxing — like the Big Bus Tour. It was the perfect way to see the whole city without the whining, wet feet, or stroller drama. 🙃 It’s hop-on-hop-off, meaning you can jump off at spots like: ✅ The Castle ✅ The Royal Mile ✅ Holyroodhouse ✅ …or just stay on, enjoy the ride and get your bearings. No matter the city we are travelling in we love doing this on the first day of the trip. It is a great way to find out where everything is and be able to do some sightseeing without anyone complaining or dragging their feet. It’s one of those rare activities that’s easy, fun, and actually helpful when you’re just getting your bearings. Let me know if you’ve done it already — or if you have any family favourites I should add to the blog! Warmly, Fiona P.S. I’ve got a 3-Day Family Itinerary you can grab here — it’s full of stuff like this and includes rainy-day swaps too. ✈️ My Favourite Edinburgh Travel Tools
